About Us
Welcome to Headless
Headless Ultimate Zurich is a club dedicated to Ultimate. Ultimate is the most popular team sport with a Frisbee, a mixture of skill, tactics and stamina. It is played without referees, so spirit of the game on and off the field is the most important rule. We love to travel together to tournaments in Switzerland and abroad and participate every year in the Swiss championships. We currently have two coed teams (Mixed), a women's team, a junior team and we are working to building an open team. Up to date we are more than 35 active players and we are always looking forward to welcome new players. Join us and participate! We train all year round several times a week.
History
Headless Ultimate Zurich was founded in January 2013, and is a merger of the two long-standing clubs Klopstock and Radical Frisbee Flyers. We've teamed up to play more Ultimate together, cover the different ambitions and interests and especially to have a lot of fun together.
Why Headless?
We are a Zurich club and the Headless name refers to the city of Zurich. The three patron saints Felix, Regula and Exuperantius have lost their heads and were also a Mixed team like us. Since we sometimes run around a bit headless on the field, the name fits us. Only that we are no saints. ☺
